“For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen..."
2 Corinthians 1:10
The bible declares that God has given us exceedingly great and precious promises. (2 Peter 1:4) Some estimate that there are over 30,000 promises. And the amazing thing is that each and every one of them belongs to you as a daughter of the Most High God! Every one of His promises are yes and amen in Christ! That said ~ they are not automatic; God's promises don't fall off trees like ripe apples. They are yours, they belong to you, as you appropriate them by faith.
Sometimes we fail to receive the promises because we fail to agree with them. In order to appropriate God's promises and make them alive in our own lives, we must agree with them; both in our hearts and with our mouths. Romans 10:8 declares: "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart..." To get faith for healing into your heart, you must agree with the Word and be willing to speak it from your mouth. Faith comes by hearing. In other words, when seeking healing, despite symptoms to the contrary, you must quote scripture steadfastly.
Joshua 1:8 instructs us to not let the Word depart from our mouths. It also instructs us to meditate on it day and night. One of the meanings of the word meditate is 'to mutter to oneself.' The more you say it, the more you believe it. And the more you believe it, the more you say it. Saying it is essential to creating it. In the beginning God spoke all of creati0n into existence. Nothing was created without His speaking it first. And you are made in His image. His Word is creative. It is an incorruptible seed. (1 Peter 1:23) Within the spoken Word is the power to create.
All it takes is a mustard seed worth of faith for the promises of God to become a reality in your life. When planted in the fertile soil of your heart, even a seed as small as a mustard seed will grow exponentially. The seed, like your faith, may seem small but when planted and meticulously tended, pulling the weeds of doubt and unbelief, it will produce a harvest of the promises of God!
DAILY DECLARATION
Despite symptoms to the contrary, I choose to believe in my heart and confess with my mouth what the Word says. Today, I determine to use my mouth to create health, healing and wholeness in my life. I believe in my heart that healing and all the promises of God are mine and I will appropriate them by faith.
