You Shall Know the Truth

"You shall know the truth

and the truth shall make you free."

John 8:32

It's the truth you know that will make you free. This biblical principle seems so simple; and it is, but at the same time, we can complicate it. I should know. I spent many years throughout my healing journey trying to figure out how I could have been healed by the stripes of Jesus Christ two thousand years ago. (1 Peter 2:24) I took a simple truth and complicated it. If you are anything like me, your human nature, your carnal self, is always trying to figure things out. Romans 8:6 declares: "to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace."

I took a spiritual truth, that declared I had been healed by the stripes of Jesus Christ, and tried to wrap my head around it, instead of simply believing what God's Word said. Have you ever done that? It was when I made the decision to just believe the truth, that said Jesus healed me over two thousand years ago, as a part of His atoning sacrifice, and let go of my reasoning that things began to change.

Was it easy? No! My physical symptoms were still making themselves known; but day by day, I began to acknowledge what was true in the spiritual realm rather than what my body was telling me in the physical realm. I became spiritually minded, rather than carnally minded. Knowing the truth set me free and it can do the same for you! Stop trying to figure it out and just believe what God has said!

DAILY DECLARATION

Today, I determine to acknowledge God's truth in my heart. The truth is that the stripes of Jesus Christ healed my body and mind, making me whole, two thousand years ago. I don't have to figure it out; I choose to simply believe the truth that I AM HEALED. Acknowledging this truth is transforming me from the inside out
